Rajkot is a city in the western Indian state of Gujarat. Junagadh is a city in the western Indian state of Gujarat. Mahabat Maqbara is the huge 19th-century mausoleum of a local ruler, which showcases intricate Indo-Islamic architectural details. Uparkot Fort, founded around 300 BC, has city views from its ramparts. Within the fort are the stone-cut stepwells Adi Kadi Vav and Navghan Kuwo, plus Buddhist caves. To the west, Darbar Hall Museum is housed in a former palace.
Gir National Park in Gujarat, India, is the only natural habitat in the world for the majestic Asiatic Lion. Spread across 1,412 sq km, this protected sanctuary is home to nearly 900 lions, leopards, sambar deer, and hundreds of bird species.
Somanath Temple is a Hindu temple, located in Prabhas Patan, Veraval, in Gujarat, India. It is one of the most sacred pilgrimage sites, or Tirtha Kshetra for Hindus and is the first among the twelve jyotirlinga shrines of Shiva.
