Ahmedabad – Dwarka – Somnath – Porbandar

7 Days 6 Nights

Char Dham of The West

Ahmedabad, in western India, is the largest city in the state of Gujarat. The Sabarmati River runs through its center. On the western bank is the Gandhi Ashram at Sabarmati, which displays the spiritual leader’s living quarters and artifacts. Across the river, the Calico Museum of Textiles, once a cloth merchant’s mansion, has a significant collection of antique and modern fabrics

Dwarka, located on the coast of Gujarat, India, is a sacred city known as Lord Krishna’s ancient kingdom and a major Hindu pilgrimage site (Char Dham). Often called the “gateway to heaven,” it is considered the first capital of Gujarat. Legend states Krishna built it before it was submerged; modern underwater studies have revealed ancient, man-made structures dating back thousands of years.

Somnath, located on the Gujarat coast, is primarily famous for the Somnath Temple, the first of the twelve sacred Jyotirlinga shrines of Lord Shiva. It is a premier pilgrimage site renowned for its resilience—having been destroyed and rebuilt multiple times—its stunning seaside location on the Arabian Sea, and its deep roots in Hindu mythology and history.

Porbandar is a city and the headquarters of the Porbandar district in the Indian state of Gujarat. It is the birthplace of Mahatma Gandhi and Sudama. It was the former capital of the Porbandar princely state.
